In theory, court should reconvene momentarily. Here's hoping for an on time start.
That's it for the day. Court will reconvene tomorrow at 9:30 a.m local time.
Now we're back to the "confusing evening" statement.
Burger says the night wasn't like any other evening, that it was abnormal. That's what she was trying to convey when she said it was a "confusing evening."
Roux says Burger appears to be having difficulty recalling the night after she heard the shots.
Roux is questioning how many screams Michell Burger heard. She says she heard screaming when she woke up, when her husband was on the balcony, and after they called security.
Burger says she never looked for a light on at Oscar Pistorius' house. At the time, she could see Pistorius' house from her balcony.
Gerrie Nel objects again, imploring the court to move on saying that Burger has answered the question multiple times.
Roux is now calling into question Burger's hearing saying that what she heard is different from other people who were closer to Pistorius' house heard.
Witness Michell Burger is being very patient with advocate Barry Roux. She repeatedly reaffirms her statement. She's adamant she heard a woman and a man scream. She says "I'm 100% convinced I heard gun shots that evening."
You can hear the frustration in Michell Burger's voice. Roux is questioning every word she says, making her go back and clarify over and over again.
Roux says Burger has changed her version of events because she says she heard 4 shots but says her husband says he heard 4, 5 or 6 shots.
Roux is pushing Burger to answer if shots could have been fired before she woke up. Roux says: Maybe you must listen. Roux is trying to say that the sounds Burger heard could have been a cricket bat being used to break down the door.
Roux is questioning the order in which events happened. Burger says she heard the screams of a woman, followed by the gun shots.
Court is back in session.
Court will resume shortly. We'll hear if state advocate Gerrie Nel has additional questions for witness Michelle Burger. If not, cross examination will begin.
There's some confusion as to what is causing the delay. The judge is not yet in the court room.
Court was supposed to get started about 20 minutes ago, we're not sure what's causing the delay.
